SYF/ Onward - Foundation LP

This split LP documents the emergence of the Norwegian straight edge scene. SYF's demo was recorded in 1990 and only a handful of copies were ever produced. Onward's demo, recorded in 1991, contains most of the tracks that later appeared on their debut 7’ by Crucial Response, although they sound much rougher and unpolished here. Not only did both bands share some members, but they also recorded their demos in the same 4-track Porta studio, making this split LP a logical progression. So, which side is better? SYF or Onward? Norwegian hardcore - raw to the bone.
